1-on-1
Private Soccer Lessons on Oahu
Private soccer lessons give your player something team practice can't: a coach focused on them for the whole session. Coach Joe works 1-on-1 with youth players from Mililani and Central Oahu out to Kapolei and Ewa Beach, and travels to families in Kailua, Hawaii Kai, Kahala and Manoa.
Every lesson is built around your player, including their position, what their team coach is asking of them and what they want to get better at. Sessions take place at a local field or right in your backyard.

What a session looks like
Check-in. A quick chat about their last game or practice and what to focus on today.
Warm-up with the ball. Movement and ball-mastery work that gets plenty of touches in early.
Skill focus. Focused reps on one or two skills, like first touch, passing with both feet, finishing or 1v1 moves, with technique corrected in real time.
Game-like pressure. The skill gets tested against a defender, a time limit or a target, so it holds up in real games.
Wrap-up and homework. A short recap for player and parent, plus a drill or two to practice before the next session.
[TODO: Joe: confirm this session outline matches how you actually run it]
Ages and levels
Ages: [TODO: youngest and oldest ages Joe coaches, e.g. 6–18]
Private lessons work at every level. Beginners build the basics of dribbling, passing and receiving. Recreational and club players sharpen technique and decision-making. High school players get position-specific work and extra reps on their weaker foot.
Because it's just your player, the pace adjusts on the spot. Nobody waits in line for a turn, and nobody gets left behind.
Who it's for
Private lessons are a good fit if your player wants to earn more playing time or move up a team, is new to soccer and would rather learn without a crowd, or has one specific thing to fix, like a weak left foot or a heavy first touch.
They also help players who are shy in a team setting. One-on-one, it's easier to ask questions, try new moves and make mistakes without an audience.
